Disperse is a VC-backed artificial intelligence construction startup focused on improving on-site productivity with the help of computer vision. Our goal is to not just be part of the current wave of construction innovation upstarts, but to ultimately reimagine the way building projects are designed, delivered and operated.
We are currently working on some of the largest projects in London and provide a solution that automates progress review and issue detection to instantly identify any problem on-site. Over the past year we've grown from 5 people to 25 and have ambitions to expand significantly in the coming year to build an engine of growth that scales our solution, and that means we are looking for passionate and proactive top talent to join the team.
We move at a high speed, and will provide you with immense opportunities for initiative, creation and leadership. Our diverse, international team is based in London, Oxford, Sarajevo and Yerevan, and has wealth of experience from construction management to computer vision and robotics.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone analytically sharp who is excited at the prospect of developing a high-growth AI venture; A creative data wizard who thrives under pressure and never backs down from a challenge. Someone who can tackle data-related problems across a variety of roles, from getting deep into our data and extracting out exciting insights and day to day project reporting to project management, process improvement and prototyping new data products to working across the business to improve the data quality of our product. If you’re eager to learn and aren’t afraid to dive straight into new challenges, this role is a great opportunity to grow and build your company building skills in a world-class team.
As part of the role, you will receive exposure to all areas of the business and will be expected to contribute in every area, as we all do. You will be working alongside the founding team and will be given lots of responsibility and ownership from day one, as well as experiencing first-hand what it takes to scale up an artificial intelligence startup. You have the opportunity to receive regular mentoring and coaching from the different members of the team to make your experience at Disperse the best it can be.
This is an opportunity to join in at the start of something new, and if you prove to be a great fit after 4-months, we’ll happily convert you to an equitable full-time position; alternatively there is the path of completing out your time with us as a 6-month internship.
Desired start date as soon as possible. Also note that the work week begins on Tuesday and ends on Saturday.
Some of the work that you might be doing includes:
- Work closely with product, architect and design teams to maintain and update existing reports and dashboards
- Project managing the delivery of our projects
- Identify root causes of data issues and develop solutions
- Streamline internal operations
- Recognise and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS
You should apply if:
- You're available for an immediate start and are interested in converting to a full-time position after the 4-month internship period
- You're a superstar at handling any type of Excel spreadsheet and designing something insightful and compelling
- You're ambitious and passionate about creating something meaningful
- You're a problem solver; you don’t accept the status quo and are always looking for creative solutions
- You're an excellent written and verbal communicator with a knack for always finding the right tone
- You're a quick learner who picks new skills and information up quickly
- You're organised and methodological with a keen attention to detail
- You're a highly motivated ‘self-starter’
- You have an excellent track record of academic achievement
Advantageous but not essential:
- Fluent in English
- SQL and/or VBA understanding desirable but a tech tinkerer would be at an advantage for this role
- Technical knowledge and understanding of software development
