Job Description
Our rapidly expanding wine, cuisine, travel, and hospitality business needs a creative and innovative Lead Software Tester to join our engineering team. We are building the next generation e-Commerce platform for the global Direct to Consumer Wine Industry, enabling consumers all over the world to purchase fine wines direct from producers. We welcome either onsite or remote candidates who are excited about improving software quality, thrive on delivering quality products and would enjoy working in a distributed team run by Silicon Valley innovators.
In this position you will be expected to:
- Work within a highly collaborative environment where developers, testers and the business work together as a team to deliver the best possible software.
- Troubleshoot production issues by reproducing it in a test environment and verifying the same.
- Develop manual and automated tests to cover all features of the product (happy path and edge cases)
- Escalate issues which affect productivity and quality promptly
- Perform end to end testing before deployment to production
- Develop automated tests using Selenium and/or other test automation tools
- Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements, planning, design, development, and testing of all kinds
- Build clear, concise, and complete test-related documentation as necessary
- Monitor application deployment into production
- Verify functionality of all new deployments (post deploy validation)
- Guide and groom new team members if any and bring them up to speed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing or software development environment
- Basic knowledge of the web development workflow and technology stack
- Ability to devise testing scenarios and setup test automation using Sellenium and/or other tools
- Experience with JIRA or similar bug tracking system
- Basic understanding of software development practices
- Coding or scripting experience is a big plus
