Objectives & responsibilities

 

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing, implementing, optimizing and developing purchasing methods and strategies of the Company:  to research, negotiate and communicate with existing and prospects suppliers; to identify future needs and availability of materials and goods and their prices trends; to negotiate prices; to prepare purchase orders, and maintain records of all mentioned.

The successful candidate will be able to perform efficient procurement activities across multiple categories of products, by leading and organizing work of a small, dynamic purchasing team, with close cooperation with superiors and other departments as Marketing, Product and Sales.

 

Activities

  • Execute, manage and develop purchasing strategies, polices, procedures and instructions of the Company in accordance to policies and procedures of the Wurth Group and Wurth BH.
  • Manage, run, improve and develop tools for optimizing stock level and service degree by evaluating trends, analyzing and interpreting data regarding company’s products and suppliers.
  • Negotiating, making contracts and cooperating with suppliers thus obtaining best value for the company in terms of purchasing prices, purchasing quantity (MOV, MOQ), delivery terms, time schedules and quality for chosen products.
  • Monitoring, evaluations and collecting data of products and suppliers
  • Communicate and cooperate with different functional units of the company to gather and consolidate all necessary data in order to optimize inventory. 
  • Organize and manage planning, ordering, receiving, control, documenting and paying processes within purchasing team in order to achieve optimal results and goals set by Company.
  • Obtaining all necessary documentations, permits, certificates, etc. in accordance with applicable regulations of state authorities.

Requirements

  • Profound knowledge of marketing and economic.
  • Strong mathematical, statistical and analytical skills, ability to synthesize complex or diverse information 
  • Profound knowledge of the main analytical instruments (for ex. Microsoft Excel etc.) 
  • Leading and communications skills
  • Good sense of finance or accounting principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, strong presentations skills and ability to present numerical data effectively. 
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees. 
  • Strong work ethic and strategic thinking. 
  • Fluent English or German, knowledge of both is considered as a plus.
